Footnotes
- Streisand's 3rd live concert album, recorded Sept. 6, 1986, on her
former ranch in Malibu, California as Democratic senatorial fundraiser and
subsequently the roots of The Streisand Foundation. All rights to Barbra's
performances on this disc are owned by The Streisand Foundation, which has
utilized the proceeds to support qualified charitable organizations committed
to anti-nuclear activities and the preservation of our environment, civil
liberties, and human rights.
- Televised as Barbra's 2nd HBO special, December 27, 1986, and
released on home video simultaneously with the album.
- Barbra remembers in Just For The Record: "After all of my insistence that I didn't want to sing in public any more, I sang...Later, proceeds from audio and video sales of the concert went to my foundation, which supports a number of non-partisan organizations committed to disarmament, civil liberties, and the preservation of the environment. 'Over The Rainbow', with its wonderfully human lyrics and rarely-heard verse, seemed perfect as an expression of hope for the future of the planet."
- For track 13 Barbra substituted her recording from the previous night's dress rehearsal, because, as she first revealed on Rosie O'Donnell's 11/99 The Barbra Interview special, during the actual concert she forgot the words, and the standing audience obstructed her view of the lyric prompters.
- Unreleased: "Send Home The Clowns," a humorous Republican song parody.
- DVD released on Rhino/Warner September 12, 2006
- BB: 5-9-87 / 28 / #9 || G, 8/11/87; P, 2/8/88
